Our Commitment to You

ToTheLoo is built with a single purpose: to help people find safe, dignified washroom access, free of charge, whenever they need it.

We are an independent team developing this tool in good faith. We do our best to keep the information accurate and useful, but ToTheLoo relies on open data and community input, and we can't guarantee that every location will always be available, open, or as described. Please use your own judgment when visiting any location.

We respect your privacy. We don't require accounts, and we only access your location when you ask us to find a washroom nearby — never in the background, and never to track you.

If you reach out through our contact page, the information you provide is used only to respond to you. We do not share it.

We are committed to ongoing diligence in improving ToTheLoo and to acting with care for the people we serve. Our intent is to help, never to harm. If you ever have a concern, we want to hear it: michael@tothelooapp.com

ToTheLoo is provided as-is, as a free community resource. By using it, you understand it is a helpful guide, not a guarantee.

A Note on Data

ToTheLoo draws on open geographic data (OpenStreetMap) and community-verified information. Location data accessed through the app is used only in the moment you request it — to find washrooms near you. It is not stored, sold, or shared.

This site and app are operated by the founders of ToTheLoo, based in Manitoba, Canada. Where applicable, we operate in accordance with Canada's federal privacy legislation (PIPEDA).

Beta Prize Draw — Contest Rules

ToTheLoo is running a prize draw during our Manitoba beta. Here is how it works, in plain language:

No purchase necessary

ToTheLoo is free, and entering the draw is free.

Who can enter

Manitoba residents 18 years of age or older. Everyone can use ToTheLoo — and everyone’s opinion counts. If you’re under 18, have a parent or guardian submit the survey with your feedback. The entry (and the prize, if you win) belongs to them, but your voice is what gets counted.

How to enter

Try the app, then complete a short survey about your experience. To qualify, include either an email address or a mobile number — whichever you prefer. That’s how we reach you if you win: email if you gave us an email, a text message if you gave us a number. Nobody will phone you.

Winning

In accordance with Canadian contest law, the selected winner must correctly answer a skill-testing question before the prize is awarded. If a selected entrant can’t be reached within 7 days or declines, another entrant is selected.

Your information

The contact details you provide are used only to administer this draw — to reach you and confirm you qualify. We never collect contact information from anyone under 18; entries always come from an adult. Details are never sold, shared, or added to any marketing list, and they are deleted after the contest closes.

One entry per person

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Prize details and draw date will be posted here before the draw closes.

ToTheLoo is an evolving platform. If our data practices change, this page will be updated to reflect that before any change takes effect. We will never quietly expand what we collect without telling you here first.
